The prestigious invite only event is a platform for some of the most innovative minds from around the world to meet and discuss global problems and technological solutions to the problems.
Startup India had put together a delegation of 15 selected startups from across the country to represent India at AMNC. This was a fantastic opportunity for us to learn, network and build sustainable business relationships. The format of the meet was designed to encourage both learning and networking. The sessions were cutting edge and reflected the current state of the art was well as futuristic possibilities. The attendees comprised of a well curated list of global thought leaders as well as emerging champions.
We got an opportunity to meet scientists from McGill University, working on Personalizing brain and communications and neuro plasticity, participated in many curated discussions, met investors from around the world as well as the Hongkong delegation headed by their Finance Minister.
We were also part of a round table discussion titled "Healthcare Systems of Tomorrow." This was a interactive session in which the delegates were divided into 5 round tables. Each table was asked to chose one area which would define the healthcare systems of tomorrow. We discussed on how to solve the problem of inadequate healthcare workers. Our roundtable was moderated by Steven Thompson of Brigham Women’s Hospital and included UK’s Health Secretary of State Mr. Matt Hannock.
The evenings were filled with cultural soirees and was a opportunity to unwind and network with fellow delegates in a very relaxed atmosphere.
All in all it was a great learning experience and we would like to thank the Govt of India, Startup India and DIPP for providing us this opportunity.
